Were you looking forward to farming/fighting in the upcoming 3DS release of Rune Factory 4? Well, if you live in Europe, Marvelous AQL has some bad news for you. Yesterday, the company pulled their upcoming release of the game in Europe without explanation.
In a statement, all they said was "While MarvelousAQL has made every effort to secure the title's release for this territory, it is, unfortunately, not possible to do so at this time. MAQL and MAQL Europe would like to thank everyone for their support and enthusiasm for their European releases. Please look forward to announcements on new MAQL titles over the coming months."
It's possible that pulling the game is related to the closure of Neverland Co. (the developers behind the Rune Factory series), but this has not been confirmed.
Since the 3DS is region coded, this is particularly problematic for European uses. We can only hope they won't give up on PAL regions in the future.
