Nintendo have just announced that they won't be releasing their PokéBank and PokéTransfer services for Pokémon X & Y just yet. Apparently, network traffic is so high that users are currently having trouble creating accounts and accessing Miiverse. I guess they didn't consider that people might be logging on during the holidays... As a result, the release of the new Pokémon services have been pushed back, with no new date announced.
Nintendo have given no indication as to whether this delay may only be hours, days, or longer. In their official announcement, they simply gave their apologies. While the release is delayed for western nations, both services are still running, as planned, in Japan, Korea and various other Asian countries.
