12.06.13 - 3:42 PM

Final Fantasy XIV isn't the only Final Fantasy MMO to be updated this month. Final Fantasy XI, which turns 11 this year, will be getting new content and other bonuses to celebrate its birthday. Being added are new solo quests, a 'trust system' which allows you to team up with famous NPCs, increased movement speed outdoors, the ability to teleport in between cities, in-game currency menus, accessibility to Mog Garden if you don't own Seekers of Adoulin, Wide Scan expansion that can be used on any job, and various yet to be detailed. The Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy XI/Final Fantasy XIV crossover will also begin soon.

In addition, Square Enix will be re-activating the accounts of all past subscribers so you can try out this content for free between December 10th and 23rd. Not only that, but a free trial of the Ultimate Collection: Seeker's Edition is available between now and December 23rd. You can find more info and downloads, on these two campaigns here.
