Play the first chapters months ahead on Steam.

Despite delaying the release of Blackguards from this month until January, Daedalic Entertainment does plan to release the title early.... sort of. Through Steam's early access program and starting next week, players will be able to play the game one chapter at a time - but for a price.
The early access package (for PC) costs $24.99 US (or£26.99/34.99), and allows for access as soon as each chapter is released, as well as the full PC/Mac version of the game when it officially launches. Or, for $34.99/£26.99/34.99 (Early Access Deluxe Edition), you'll also get an 150-page artbook, developer interview videos and six wallpapers. Finally, the Early Access Contributor's Edition ($49.99/£29.99/49.99) will also add your name to the game's credits plus Blackguards' first DLC, and a copy of The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav for free.
The early access chapters will be available one at a time beginning November 7th, with each chapter following every three weeks until all five are released. Daedalic hopes to collect feedback from early-access players before the game's January 2014 launch.
