Indie RPG Forced Now Available
PC, Mac and Linux players can meet up for a little co-op with this one. 10.25.13 - 8:14 PM Danish developer BetaDwarf's indie title Forced was finally released yesterday. This PC, Mac and Linux action RPG supports up to four players in arcade-style co-op, or of course you can solo the campaign. Players choose between one of four classes, and all four can gain control of a fifth 'spirit mentor' character, Balrus, together. If you 'mark' the enemies and consume the marks after, you'll gain certain effects and skills. Besides battling, you'll encounter traps and puzzles as you work your way towards freedom as gladiators. In the press release, BetaDwarf also shared the interesting tale of how their game came to be in the form of a long, comic strip-style image, in which the team started out in an unused university classroom before the game would eventually be funded through KickStarter. Forced is now available on Steam for $14.99, but is currently on sale for $11.99. Or, you can buy a pack of four copies for $35.99 (regularly, $44.99). You can even buy the soundtrack on that same page. Below are a couple of trailers so you can see the title in action, and of course, we have a brand new gallery up as well. If nothing else, this game is definitely nice to look at.
