Square Enix released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn's PvP area, the Wolves' Den. Players will be able to form teams and test their mettle against others in this seaside arena. Take a look at the trailer below:
The long-awaited World Transfer service is set to begin tomorrow, October 15th, and will be free until Monday, October 21st. Character transfers will be subject to a fee after that time. This opportunity is great for players who were unable to collaborate with their friends at launch because of the game's extensive server overpopulation.
The next seasonal event coming to Eorzea is "All Saints' Wake," a Halloween-themed celebration set to begin this Friday, October 18th. Towns will play host to a traveling circus troupe accompanied by festive decorations and costumes. These performers will issue a special quest with limited-time rewards. Spooky!
Looking into the future, we have a firm date for the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII x Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn collaborative event. Lightning herself will appear in Eorzea on Thursday, November 14th, to coincide with the Japanese release of her new game. Players will be able to obtain Final Fantasy XIII-themed weapons and costumes by fighting alongside Lightning against her world's version of Bahamut.
Patch 2.1, which includes the Wolves' Den as well as player housing, the Crystal Tower, and a host of other content, will be released sometime before the end of the year. Stay tuned for our last Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn review journal in the coming weeks, too.
