Ubisoft today announced - er, 'announced' their own take on a JRPG with their title Child of Light. Though this was actually somewhat revealed last month, today we actually get more details, and see what it looks like. Patrick Plourde (Far Cry 3) is named as creative director for Child of Light, which runs on the same engine as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, and is based on UbiArt framework. Inspired by fairytales, Child of Light combines traditional RPG and platforming elements.
Child of Light (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U) is due out sometime next year.
