Bravely Default: For the Sequel Announced, Not Actually A Sequel
Rather, it's an enhanced edition of Flying Fairy that, yes, is coming overseas.

Last week, Square Enix had announced Bravely Default: For the Sequel. Don't be fooled by the name however; this is no sequel. Rather, it's an improved edition of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. There is, however, an actual Bravely Default sequel in the works, and For The Sequel includes some features from its system. The battle speed has the option to speed up, and players can now select an auto-battle option, as well as adjust the random encounter rate. More story and battle events are being added, as are several language options: Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

Players will also get an event viewer, and more info on equipment and how well it works with each job; and Square's made improvements to the graphics. If you've played the Japanese version of Flying Fairy, you can import your save into For the Sequel when it releases in Japan in December of this year.

So, with Bravely Default not hitting Europe and North America until 2014, is this the version we'll be seeing? All signs (and the official Twitter account) point to yes - and to dual audio, too.



Finally, the title has been changed to Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Flies for the European version. No word yet on whether this name change applies to North America, but at least this 3DS title - and the updated version, at that - is on its way to us thanks to Nintendo.
