Dark Souls II Closed Beta Announced

Namco Bandai Games announced today that a special closed beta test will be held for From Software's upcoming Dark Souls II. Sad news for Xbox 360 and PC players, though: this will be a PlayStation 3-only beta. On the upside, both North American and European players are invited to participate, they only need to watch the Dark Souls Facebook page around September 5th for registration details. Once you get in, you'll be among the first to explore a new area and face all the new challenges Dark Souls II has in store, of which there will be plenty.

The closed beta is scheduled to begin on October 5th. Dark Souls II (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) is due out in March of 2014.
