Square Enix this morning announced that Deus Ex: The Fall's iOS version will go on sale in the App Store later this week. The mobile title, which was on display at E3 Expo last month, takes place in 2027, the same year as Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Following the events of the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, the story centers around the same protagonist, ex-SAS Ben Saxon, and his dealings with the mercenary group led by Jaron Namir.
While visuals and gameplay are borrowed from Human Revolution, those touch controls may take getting used to. Deus Ex: The Fall will be compatible with iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th generation, and iPad 2, and newer models. The title will go on sale in the App Store July 11th for $6.99 US. No word yet on the Android version's release.
