After a successful Kickstarter and delays, this reboot is finally on its way.

In April of last year, it took developer Harebrained Schemes just over a day to reach its Kickstarter goal and fun Shadowrun Returns, a multiplatform reboot of the cyberpunk RPG. In the end, the project reached nearly $1.9 million - that's $1.5 million atop its original goal. Originally, the title was promised for a February 2013 release before this was pushed back to May and eventually June.
Shadowrun Returns goes back to the style of the original SNES and Genesis title, as the 2007 first-person shooter was quite ill-received. You can check out some alpha footage - 20 minutes' worth at that - below.
Shadowrun Returns now has a final release date of July 25th. The PC/Mac version can be pre-ordered on Steam for $17.99, and the iOS/Android version will also be available on the same day. No word yet on the Linux version.
