Way back when Final Fantasy XIII was released, a piece of paper was included with the first batch of games released that included a code for a bonus item in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Now, owners of that code will be given priority beta access in the upcoming playtest of FFXIV on PS3.
Did you just go and have a look and couldn't find it? Fear not! Square Enix will help you out if you go visit this link. You will need a Square Enix Members account first. Once you have that sorted, North American players can apply here, while Europe and all other PAL territories can apply here.

You might notice many of the staple Final Fantasy summons - Bahamut, Odin, Ramuh, Titan, Leviathan and Garuda, to name a few - who will be making a return as primals, which are known to be XIV's toughest enemies. Several other series enemies will also surface.
