Former NISA Staff Launch New Publishing Company
The interestingly-named acttil will offer localization, marketing and more to independent developers. 05.06.13 - 11:19 PM Recently, a handful – is three a handful? – of folks left NIS America to pursue other endeavors. Surprisingly, they have already announced the formation of said endeavor as a new publisher: acttil. acttil has been formed by Jack Niida (former Producer at NISA), Hiroko Kanazashi (former VP of Production), and Nao Miyazawa (former VP of Marketing), the company will bring not only games, but other digital content such as eBooks from around the world to PC, consoles, web and mobile platforms. Interestingly, while primarily a game publisher, acttil is a "curious entity that will take on any project" they find interesting. Of note is that acttil, like the early XSEED, will provide marketing and localization services (such as translation, sales plans, packaging design and more) for independent developers. By the way, since I know you're wondering about the name, actill was born from the new company's core values: acceptance, creativity, teamwork, trust, innovation, and love. actill is also intentionally written in lowercase to emphasize humility. You can learn a bit more about the company at the acttil website. Hopefully, being a company formed by veterans familiar with RPGs, we'll be hearing about some RPG news in the future, so stay tuned!
