Dragon's Crown Set For This Summer
Vanillaware's PS3 and Vita title finally hits both retail and PSN.

Atlus USA announced today that the Vanillaware-developed 2D hack & slash RPG, Dragon's Crown, finally has a release window. After being announced two years ago and changing Western publisher, the Playstation 3 and Vita sidescroller will be available both at retail and digitally this summer.

Players can choose between a tanking fighter, a grapple-happy dwarf, a quick, axe-wielding Amazon, a fire-blasting wizard, a bow-wielding elf or a magic-using sorceress. They will then make their way through Hydeland in pursuit of uncovering the secrets of the titular relic, the Dragon's Crown.

You can either fill our your four-member party with AI characters, or other players - however, there will be no cross-platform play between the PS3 and the Vita. The PS3 supports drop-in multiplayer, while the Visa uses the ad-hoc network. Along the way you'll meet NPCs Sam (a leader of the Adventurer's Guild), the wizard Lucain, and Rannie, a professional thief who will help out when you need a lock picked and a door unlocked. Finally, the skill tree allows players to develop the main character's abilities as they like and to what suits their playstyle.

Dragon's Crown's PlayStation 3 version is priced at $49.99 US, while the Vita version is $39.99. Be sure to stay tuned for more media and info leading up to its release!
