Fire Emblem: Awakening Update
A downloadable version, character art and more. 01.07.13 - 10:22 PM It was recently revealed that Fire Emblem: Awakening, headed to North America in less than a month month and Europe sometime in April, will also be available as a 3DS eShop download as well as a retail release. Though the DLC - of which there is plenty - is also to be released out west, there is currently no schedule nor pricing as of yet. On the other hand, Nintendo has been sharing character portraits and mini-bios on its 3DS Facebook page, and will continue to do so until Awakening's release. Chrom, a central character, is the prince of Ylisse and leads a group of soldiers called the Shepherds who defend the country. Frederick serves as his lieutenant and Chrom's younger sister, Lissa, also joins in on the fight. Chrom's older sister Emmeryn rules Ylisse, and even when invaded by Plegia she still hopes to resolve things peacefully. Sully, another Ylissean, is looked up to by other women in her country. Marth, who's made many an appearance throughout the long-running strategy RPG series, returns to Awakening as a masked knight. Fire Emblem: Awakening goes on sale on February 4th in North America. Pre-ordering at GameStop (and EBGames in Canada) nets you a character artbook - featuring the works of designer Yusuke Kozaki - as a bonus. For now though, you can take a look in the 3DS eShop for 3D screenshots.
