Tales of Game's Studios announced today not only that is The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa in the works, but that a Kickstarter campaign to back the project will also be forthcoming. If you're unfamiliar with the first game Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden was released in 2008, a freeware PC action RPG that managed to merge - you guessed it - basketball and RPG gameplay. Its extremely-long titled sequel picks up where the first left off, with the player taking control of X114JAM9, a protagonist who conveniently does not remember his past, but is now tasked with saving the galaxy, the Post-Cyberocalypse, and of course, 'b-balldom' (seeing as basketball was actually outlawed in the game's world).
