Not too long ago we mentioned that Phantasy Star Online 2 would soon see sub-classes in one of its October updates. This update, scheduled for October 10th, allows the use of subclasses as soon as you fulfill a specific client order. After, you can then 'equip' subclasses so you can use another class' abilities in addition to those of your regular class.
In addition, the level cap will increase from 40 to 50 with this update, and there will also be some 'Very Hard' difficulty quests that include new, rarer variations (colour swaps) of current bosses. 10-star rare weapons and new photon arts will also be added in. The update's trailer is here and you'll find the latest screens linked below.
Phantasy Star Online 2 for PC is due out in North America and Europe sometime next year.
