SEGA had a few things to share regarding Phantasy Star Online 2, both the PC version and its upcoming PlayStation Vita and smartphone versions. The PC version, which released in Japan earlier this summer and will be out overseas next year, gets a new update tomorrow.

This update adds a limited-time Otsukimi festival event based on the real thing from September 26th to October 24th, an option to transfer to different ships (blocks on a server) which will cost 700 Arks Cash, and team rooms. These will act as a base of operations for your team, and you can add facilities such as storage to this room, though some are premium features and others cost team points. A photon tree will also be found in each team room and you can water it using PT, however it provides effects like stat increases.

The update also brings team rankings, new story quests, a Time Attack quest, and new costumes. Watch the trailer below and have a look at some screens in the gallery.

The Vita version will be both free and online only just like the PC version, and is set for a spring 2013 window. Cross-play between this and the PC version will be supported for both multiplayer and storing your character data, but only on certain ships. You can also use the onscreen keyboard to chat with the other players. However, you can only create one account per Vita memory card, but you can create multiple characters at the cost of some AC.

The smartphone version will be for both iOS and Android devices, but won't allow for cross-platform play with the PC and Vita versions. There is some connection to your character data, but this part isn't very clear.
