Tales of Xillia 2's Ludger Has A Second Form
And other tidbits, such as returning Xillia characters!
08.08.12 - 7:24 PM

This week's Famitsu revealed that Tales of Xillia 2's main character, Ludger, comes with a twist: He's got a special form that comes out later in the game. This form allows him to travel to a parallel dimension with an alternate history; the corporation Clanspia Co.'s president Bizri asks Ludger to destroy that dimension. When Ludger travels to the other dimension, he must destroy the Time Factor if he hopes to return to his own world.

This form of Ludger's comes into play in battle. Once a certain gauge is filled up, you can press L3 and R3 to make him transform, taking the enemies with him into the other dimension. (Think Devil May Cry's devil trigger mode.) In this form, his HP, AP and TP are all unaffected, but he'll apparently be fighting the enemies alone in this mode.

As for other characters, Ludger will come across more characters from the first Tales of Xillia. In Elenpios he meets Elise, and she has her mascot/pet/??? Tipo with her. The butler Rowen also makes a return. A new character is Bizri's secretary Vell, who happens to be a childhood friend of Ludger and Nova's twin sister.

Here is what Rowen, Elise and Tippo look like in Xillia 2. (You'll also find some watermarked screens posted at Famitsu.)
