And a really brief look at that Wii U version - now a launch title.

It was mentioned some time ago that evidence for the Leviathan DLC was found in the files for Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut. The single-player content, which centers around a rogue Reaper that Shepard attempts to seek out, will not only reveal some of the ancient race's origins, but also provide a weapon that can take down a Reaper. You'll get access to new parts of the galaxy and even of the Citadel itself (because it isn't big enough as is?), unlock new weapons and meet new characters. Leviathan doesn't have an exact date beyond 'this summer,' but is already priced at $10 US or 800 MicroSoft Points.

Also out this month will be a DLC pack with several new weapons for use in the single-player campaign. The Firefight pack will be available next Tuesday for $2 or 160 MSP. That's right - Mass Effect 3's first paid DLC is more guns. (BioWare, do you mean to tell me that my Geth guns aren't good enough?)
Finally, it was revealed that Mass Effect 3 will also be a Wii U launch title sometime this holiday season. As suggested earlier, the Extended Cut content will be on-disc, as will an 'interactive backstory' which will apparently cover both Mass Effect 1 and 2's events. Of course, the multiplayer portion will also be available - as will, presumably, all its free DLC.
