Ys: Foliage Ocean in Celceta Gameplay, Characters and Opening
And a 25th anniversary box set!

Nihon Falcom's Ys: Foliage Ocean in Celceta is to hit Japanese shelves this fall as part of the series' 25th anniversary. And because of the anniversary, the Vita remake of Ys IV will be seeing a limited edition, titled the Ys 25th Anniversary Pack, will come with the game, a drama CD, a music CD with a selection of tracks from all across the series, and a cleaning cloth for the Vita - with Ys' world map printed on it. The anniversary set will retail for 8925 yen ($112.72 US).

The newest artwork for the game is of Ozma from the water city of Surrey, and Canlilica.

The latest screens include Selray and Highland, and some shots of the battle system. You'll notice it looks similar to that of Ys SEVEN. You can switch between characters with the square button, and have three different types of attacks. You can even control the party AI a bit by using the Vita's touch screen, such as whether to attack - or to flee the battle. Skills, of course, require skill points which can be built up by attacking enemies. When facing stronger opponents you can learn and use new skills right away and of course, set them on the character later.

There are also personal and character-specific actions that you can execute while exploring the field. For example, Duren can open treasure chests and Carna an use a knife to cut down string bridges.

Ys: Foliage Ocean in Celceta for PlayStation Vita is to release in Japan on September 27th.
