RPGFan Soundtracks Update Part One!
The awesome before the storm. 07.04.12 - 1:23 AM Good evening folks! After a long hiatus (and a huge pile of E3 coverage), we're back with more Soundtracks goodness for you all. Tonight's update it something of an appetizer-- a small slice of an awesome whole, if you will--before tomorrow's full update! Perennial purveyor of prodigiously punctual album reviews Patrick Gann is responsible for what you'll be reading tonight, so thanks to him for his contributions! First up, Patrick shares his thoughts on some totally classic Yoko Shimomura music-- the Live A Live OST! This Super NES game was sadly never released in the United States (but we can hope for a 3DS remake, right?). Making this even sadder is the fact that the soundtrack is totally sweet! Patrick and I were of one mind on this album, so be sure to check out his review! Continuing on the Square Enix train is the Final Fantasy XIII-2 OST PLUS album. This disc contains an eclectic mix of unreleased tunes, DLC tracks, and intriguing remixes-- and is quite good as well! There's even a totally fantastic Battle on the Big Bridge remix in there! Definitely make sure to take a look at Pat's review and listen to some samples here; this is a fascinating album! Rounding out tonight's goodness, we have a triple Falcom threat-- VOCAL, VOCAL 2, and VOCAL 3. Are you a fan of Falcom's totally jamming tunes? Then you need to check out these albums, because there's some lovely stuff to be found! Those albums will be all for tonight, but be sure to check back in tomorrow (later today?), as we celebrate the USA's birthday with another round of soundtrack reviews! And, as always, thank you for supporting RPGFan Soundtracks!
