Final Fantasy III for PSP Confirmed

After a bit of speculation last week, Final Fantasy III for the PSP has now been officially announced! It's primarily based off the DS remake a few years ago, but includes sme of the new features from the iOS version along with 16x9 support, a gallery and music mode, ability to swap between the original NES music and an auto-battle option to double battle speed.

Now, here's the trailer, followed by some screens:

The game is expected to release in Japan on September 20th for 3990 yen ($50 US) on UMD and 3300 yen ($41 US) as a digital download.

Now, if only they'd remake VI for PSP...
