Larian Studios today announced the latest in its Divinity series, Divinity: Original Sin for PC and Mac. The turn-based title, which has been in development for nearly two years, is a prequel to Divine Divinity which goes back to Tanoroth where the orcs prepare to attack the Rivellon nations. As the player you control two main characters, neither of which are bound to a character 'class,' and along the way you'll recruit other characters to your cause. The game encourages combos of both the magic and skill kind, as well as exploiting the environment in battle.

Your choices will have consequences, and you'll have lots of quests and area to explore. The game will also come with a toolset to let you build your own quests. Divinity: Original Sin will also support co-op multiplayer, where you will not only fight together but also explore, and even make use of a dialogue system.

Along with the announcement, the developer had a lot of media to share as well. Below is a video which serves as our first introduction to Divinity: Original Sin, as well as a number of first screens and art which can be found in our gallery below.

Divinity: Original Sin for PC and Mac will be released in the spring of 2013.
