Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Multiplayer DLC Announced
VORCHA SMASH!! 05.24.12 - 10:45 PM BioWare's Mass Effect 3 will be getting more free multiplayer DLC next week. Titled Rebellion, this pack adds characters, maps and weapons, just as the previous DLC had. The two new maps will be Firebase Goddess (based on the asari homeworld Thessia) and Firebase Jade (based on the jungle-like salarian homeworld Sur'Kesh). The six new characters are: Vorcha soldier and sentinel (that's Vorcha, not the short and stout Volus); ex-Cerberus adept and vanguard (obviously, a variant of the existing human versions of these classes); and male Quarian engineer and infiltrator. New weapons being added are the Reegar Carbine shotgun, Krysae Sniper Rifle, and Cerberus Harrier assault rifle; as well, players get a new gear slot, so that you can use equipment bonuses that don't expire after a single mission. The characters, weapons and bonuses will show up randomly in reinforcement packs. Finally, on waves 3, 6 and 10, there will randomly be a new objective to retrieve packages and bring them to extraction zones on the map. The Rebellion DLC will be made available for free next Tuesday, May 29th on PSN, Xbox Live and on Origin (May 30th on PSN in Europe). While we're on the subject of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, there will be another N7 challenge this weekend. Promote three characters this weekend (between tomorrow night after 6PM PST and Sunday night before 5PM Pacific) and win a commendation pack. If a collective of 50,000 characters get promoted this weekend, everyone who participated also gets a victory pack. And because we didn't kill enough banshees last weekend, they'll be showing up a lot more this weekend - and not just on maps with Reapers. Doesn't that sound |
