Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Screens Added
A look at the job changes, the battle system and more!
05.15.12 - 1:53 PM

Square Enix's Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for the Nintendo 3DS has several familiar jobs, like monk, white mage, black mage and knight. Changing between these jobs requires use of an item called 'Astarisk' and, naturally, you'll gain a different skillset, fighting style, and outfit once you change. Your characters aren't the only ones with jobs though - some enemies will have them too. In fact, you'll have to defeat certain 'job master' misses to unlock some of your jobs, like the white mage, black mage and monk ones, for example.

As well, members of the enemy Ertania air force, who also carry Astarisks, can change between jobs. This is a super powered military group out to arrest anyone after the crystals, including Anies, the main heroine who hopes to 'free' the wind crystal from the darkness surrounding it.

There are more, original jobs than the ones mentioned in Bravely Default, but Square has yet to reveal them. This job system plays a very central role in the game, however. You'll find screens of the system and Ertania, plus two new pieces of art in our newest gallery update below. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for 3DS is due out in Japan sometime this year.
