A look at what's coming in mid-May.

Earlier this week, Square Enix (in Japan, at least) announced that Final Fantasy XIII-2's next downloadable content will center around Snow and Valfodr. The episode, which carries somewhat of a 'don't fight for me' theme, centers around Snow and his relationship to Serah. The content will clear up some things about the coliseum itself as well as Snow's L'Cie mission.
Valfodr will show up later on in the episode, as something of a 'last boss' in the coliseum. The way Famitsu describes him, he'll be a formidable foe who can use weapons, magic and summons. You face off against him a number of times in the DLC, and each time he'll be even tougher. In the last fight against him, he's the toughest opponent you'll have ever faced in the coliseum, and the strongest monster in the whole game when at his best.
Snow's Crystal conversion rate is 30% while Valfodr's is 100% (at his highest level). Snow focuses on melee attacks while Valfodr uses attacks like Hellflame, Hellstorm, Hellspark and.. well, you get the point.
