Atlus Acquires Rights To Dragon's Crown
Heaving busoms are now being assisted by Jack Frost. 04.19.12 - 10:11 PM Atlus announced today that they have assumed publishing and production duties for the upcoming Vanillaware title Dragon's Crown, slated for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Formerly under the wing of Ignition, little was heard about the game after its announcement at E3 2011. According to Atlus, their creative team will assist Vanillaware in the completion of the title. "We are exceedingly proud to become a part of producing and publishing Dragon's Crown," said Shinichi Suzuki, President and CEO of Index Digital Media, Inc, the parent company for Atlus. "Vanillaware is a developer beloved for their tremendous visual talent and extraordinary attention to detail. Our previous collaboration with them, Odin Sphere, went on to sell over 350,000 units worldwide, entering the prestigious PlayStation Greatest Hits library. While much work remains, we believe this collaboration will be well worth the wait." Atlus' press release today notes that the title is now slated for a 2013 release.
