Dark Souls Officially Announced For PC
Introducing the they-really-wants-you-to-die Edition.
04.11.12 - 2:43 PM

Rumours have circulated the last few days that From Software's popular Dark Souls would get a PC release, but they and publisher Namco Bandai made the news official this morning at a press conference. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki of From Software announced the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, which will be out late this summer.

Miyazaki admitted that a PC version was not originally in the plans for Dark Souls, but after hearing fan demand and support (including a petition!), chose to go ahead with the PC port. Feedback from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will help 'shape' the Windows version. There will be new content not seen in the console versions, but what this content will entail wasn't elaborated on.

Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition for PC is due for release on August 24th both digitally and via retailers.
