The Changing of the Guard: Part 2
An introduction from the new Editor-in-Chief. 02.08.12 - 10:52 AM It's always tough to change from the status quo, and that's exactly what makes this one of the hardest pieces I've ever had to write, even though it's a positive one. Eric Farand has been our Editor-in-Chief since I joined RPGFan almost a decade ago. He's been a strong, guiding hand for the entire website and it's been a pleasure working for him. I can't say that we've always agreed on every topic, but he's been incredibly respectful and willing to listen to his writers. I have to thank him for everything he's done for RPGFan, as everything he's done has been out of love for what we all put together here. I am proud to announce my new position as Editor-in-Chief of RPGFan. I plan on continuing to build on the strong foundation laid for me as we start to introduce more video content, including interviews, video reviews, and other featured content. We're going to continue expanding our review coverage and work to make sure you receive timely news, review, and preview coverage of the RPGs that you want to hear about. We're going to try and get more coverage of PC RPGs, of indie games, and of titles that might have previously fallen through the cracks. At the end of the day, I want RPGFan to be your number one source for news, previews, and reviews for RPGs. You may remember that I posted a survey not too long ago to figure out some of the ways that we should proceed in the future. I am always open to hearing what you think, positive or negative. I can be contacted easily by clicking the "About" button on the header. I've worked hard on this website my entire adult life - the month I graduated from high school was the month I started writing for RPGFan. I don't intend to stop any time soon. It's my pleasure to take over this position from a man I respect, and I hope that I can garner the same respect that he did. Thank you for reading RPGFan.
