Atlus USA has announced, after a long lead-up campaign, that they will be publishing the Sting-developed Gungnir in North America on June 12, 2012 for the PlayStation Portable. The fourth game in the Dept. Heaven series, which includes Riviera, Knights in the Nightmare, and Yggdra Union, Gungnir tells the story of a world that is thrown into chaos as a magical spear falls from the heavens. As it is a Sting title, players should expect a fairly complex battle system and anime-style graphics.
Some may have felt put out by this announcement - all of the clues leading up to it could have also applied to Growlanser IV. However, about an hour after this release went out, Atlus had another teaser image for a game starting with G... but we'll have to wait until 2012 to find out whether or not we're on the right track.
