The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Ships Over 10 Million Copies
Not bad for the VGAs' Game of the Year. 12.16.11 - 1:41 AM The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may not have been this year's biggest seller - chances are, you can predict the title that did sell the most - but Bethesda's title still had some rather impressive numbers. Less than a week after winning Game of the Year honors at Spike TVs Video Game Awards, Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media announced that ten million copies of Skyrim have shipped worldwide to date, accounting for over $650 million in sales. In addition, the PC version outsold all other PC titles in November by a ratio of 3 to 1. Other than top honors at the VGAs, Skyrim has already been receiving all kinds of other awards and accolades around the Web. Be sure to check back with RPGFan in the coming weeks for our own Games of 2011 feature - as well as for our reviews of the game's soundtrack!
