Beyond the Labyrinth: New Screens And Gameplay Clips
Some gameplay details on your 3D dungeon crawling needs. 12.02.11 - 11:00 PM Konami and tri-Ace's Nintendo 3DS dungeon RPG Beyond the Labyrinth has a couple of interesting twists in its battle system. Today they released a couple of short videos and a batch of new screens. Though the battle system is turn-based, you also get to choose the strength of your attack when you select a target. The stronger your attack however, the longer until your next turn. Aside from the mysterious white-haired girl, the other characters will each have the ability of one of three elements. These elements work on a 'rock-paper-scissors' basis (not entirely unlike Fire Emblem's weapons triangle). Enemy HP can be absorbed using this system, too. If you use certain attacks, their HP will float in the air. The next character can absorb this HP, but only if they and that foe are of the same element. The videos and newest screens give is a better look at the game's battle system. Beyond the Labyrinth releases in Japan on January 19th.
