How To Communicate In Dragon Quest X Online
Plus a look at the game's monk class. 12.01.11 - 10:52 PM While in games on other systems you can usually yell at each other through a headset, Dragon Quest X Online has different ways for you to communicate with other players. You can pull up a menu that lets you choose from preset lines, either default ones or or one of your own that you've edited in. You'll have different sets of lines for varying situations, such as exploring on a field or engaged in battle. Your character can also make actual gestures, which change depending on both their race and gender. Or, you can plug in a USB keyboard. When writing messages of your own from here, however, you set who can see your text - just your party, or everyone in the area, for example. The monk job doesn't have much HP or strength, but is great at healing. They can carry sticks, spears and clubs, and some of them can absorb a foe's HP. Like Dragon Quest IX however, you can change your job. Go to Dharma's Shrine and visit the branch office to change to one of the other five main jobs, and skills you learned that are not specific to one job, will carry over. If you wish to switch back to a certain job, you'll be at the same level as when you switched from that job previously. Square Enix also showed off even more new and returning enemies for the game. You'll find new screens of these, the monk class and the communication options (yes, gestures too) all in the gallery below. Dragon Quest X Online for the Wii releases in Japan next year and its Wii U date has yet to be announced.
