RAW: Realms of Ancient War is a downloadable multiplatform title being developed by Wizarbox and published by the France-based Focus Home Interactive. Though it's billed as a fantasy hack and slash, your character gains EXP which of course can be used to improve your skills and abilities, and you'll be able to choose from rogue, warrior and sorcerer classes at the beginning of the game.
The fantasy-themed Realms of Ancient War is set ten years after a war that left the kingdoms of men, elves, and dwarves all in ruin, still being picked apart by raiders and looters. The kingdoms have sent teams to investigate a new mysterious threat, though none have returned. You can probably see where this is going, but this is when your character comes into play.
You can play the game solo or with one other person in co-op, which doesn't sound like a bad idea considering you'll fight enemies in hordes, much like in true hack & slash titles like God of War. While you advance your powers and magic through experience, weapons and other items are pried, or rather looted, from fallen enemies. One interesting trait your character has is the ability to possess an opponent so when you're feeling especially evil you can destroy them from within.
RAW: Realms of Ancient War will be a downloadable title starting early next year on Xbox Live, and sometime later on in the year on the PlayStation Network and for PC as well. Be sure to check out our gallery below to get a first look at the title!
