Square Enix Celebrates Final Fantasy XI
A deal to entice new players!
11.11.11 - 11:46 AM

To coincide with today's date of 11-11-11, Square Enix is (appropriately enough) celebrating Final Fantasy XI with an offer that should entice new players - and another offering that will please fans of the game's music. Starting today, the Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition is 50% off. (This makes the digital version a mere $10!) This collection includes the game and all of its extra content - four expansions, three addons, and all three Abyssea addons. In addition, new accounts get a free 14-day trial account. Both offers are for a limited time.

Also announced is a new soundtrack CD. The Final Fantasy XI Original Soundtrack Plus CD set won't be available until next Tuesday, but the two discs include unreleased music from Wings of the Goddess, music from the Abyssea and other addons, and bonus tracks from PlayOnline. First-print copies include a code for an in-game item called a 'Spinet,' a Juenoan keyboard which plays a random song (out of a preset list of 11) whenever you enter the Mog House. This soundtrack is priced at $29.99 US and available for pre-order from Square Enix's online store.
