Don't be fooled by the size of the screenshots... it's still a PSP game.

A few months ago, Level-5 acquired the rights from Namco Bandai to create an original Gundam story called Gundam Age, which will encompass manga, anime, toys... and a large-scale RPG. Our first look at the game reveals a few details: First, it's a PSP game, despite the really large screens in our first gallery update. Second, the title will span across three different generations, each with its own main character.
This mission-based RPG has two components. In the 'field' section of the game, you'll explore the colony and ships as your character, and talk to NPCs, all to advance the story. The action-heavy battles take place when you're in your mobile suit, but Level-5 has not released screens or details on the battle system quite yet.
Gundam Age for the PSP releases in Japan next summer.
