Faster Battles For Lord Of Arcana's Successor
Yup, that means a new video! 10.25.11 - 7:27 PM Square Enix have recently been talking up one of their next big portable RPG releases. Lord of Apocalypse, the follow-up to Lord of Arcana, has a shiny new video to show off how the battles will play out this time around. According to Square, there will be substantially less lag in this new entry in the series, thanks largely to seamless battle transitions; sometimes, anyway. If you check out the video below, it still seems the fights take place in closed-off arenas. Looks pretty, doesn't it? That footage is from the PlayStation Vita version. A regular PSP edition will be released, but we don't have any footage for it yet. Quick-time finishing events have been taken out too. Now you finish off your enemies the old fashioned way: hacking away until they stop moving. It's also been confirmed that mercenaries will be customisable this time around in single-player mode. This means you'll be able to put together your idea party for different scenarios. The Vita version of Lord of Apocalypse will be released alongside the console for launch in Japan, and the regular PSP version will be out December 17th as well. No news yet on a Western release.
