Serious spoiler warning.

Some early information leaks have come our way via Tales Source on Final Fantasy XIII-2. Most of them concern new lead character Noel, but there's some information on Lightning too. This is your last warning to avert your eyes if you don't want any story spoilers.
No turning back now!
As it turns out, Noel is from the future. In fact, he's the last surviving human from a future world. No details yet as to why he's gone back in time, but there's a good chance there will be some new information in the next Famitsu, which teased this reveal the week before. As for Lightning, she is now a knight, protecting the temple of goddess Etro in Valhalla, or the "invisible world." Stay tuned for more details as they emerge!
Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3, Xbox 360) is due for release in North America in January.
