Disgaea 4's Map Editing System Sees A Few Changes Out West
Plus: the first English screens! 07.15.11 - 1:12 PM In the months leading up to Disgaea 4's Japanese release back in February, we'd heard a lot about the game's map editing system. Players can create and edit their own custom maps to share online with others, and there's lots of variety if the many screenshots are to be believed. But in Disgaea 4's Western localization, it looks like this feature will see some minor changes. Due to some sort of regulations in our region, map editing will be slightly different - rather than building your own map from the ground up, the game will provide preset landscapes for you to start with. As well, multiples of the same feature (besides geo blocks and characters) can't be stacked or placed beside each other. Finally, character and map names and descriptions will be randomized. Fear not though - you can still build your ideal pirate ship. With this information, NISA also provided the first five English screenshots (to go with our 589 japanese ones). Check them out below: Disgaea 4 is set to release on September 6th in North America, and sometime in October in Europe.
