Celebrate Summer In DOFUS on the Island of Vulkania
Vulkania - where things are already hotting up! 07.06.11 - 9:12 PM Right as World of Warcraft's Midsummer Fire Festival draws to a close, Ankama has just begun summer plans in their MMORPG, DOFUS. Starting yesterday, the new Island of Vulkania is now available for would-be explorers to... well, explore. The new area features several new monsters, a rideable pet called a Madreggon, and two noteworthy enemy encounters going by the avoiding-copyright-infringement names of Grozilla and Grasmera. Vulkania has 165 new game screens to see, 40 new quests, 30 new monsters, 3 complete new equipment sets, new titles, and yes, even a new emote. We have some new screens and artwork in our newly-renovated DOFUS gallery, linked below. You'll get a look at some of these new monsters, the adorable Madreggon and a completely random "Vulkania Park" logo (random because we're not sure where the 'park' part comes in). If all of this sounds like your cup of tropical iced tea, you should act swiftly: Vulkania and its summertime fun will only be available until the end of August! Ankama plans to bring Vulkania back each summer, however. Learn more about DOFUS at the game's official site, linked below. Finally, while we don't normally post press releases in full, Ankama released both a standard text version as well as a more "fun" summer-themed release showcasing Vulkania and its inhabitants, which we wanted to share with you: |
