Nintendo Will Not Localize Three Wii Titles
...But that won't stop Operation Rainfall.
06.30.11 - 10:46 PM

On Sunday, Nintendo of America promised an update after several days of the Operation Rainfall campaign - a fan campaign to try and convince the Big N to localize the Wii RPGs Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower in North America. And an update they gave on their official Facebook page. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what everyone was waiting for:

Thank you for your enthusiasm. We promised an update, so here it is. We never say “never,” but we can confirm that there are no plans to bring these three games to the Americas at this time. Thanks so much for your passion, and for being such great fans!

Even though they said never say 'never,' the chances of 'ever' are, sadly, looking more slim. Yet despite the disappointment echoed by tons of fans ever since this post, Operation Rainfall says they will continue with their campaign as planned. Europe will get Xenoblade Chronicles this September, and will (apparently) see The Last Story in 2012.
