Though Disgaea 4 for the PS3 is just a few months away in North America, its Japanese players are waiting on another piece of DLC. Mao, a student of the Evil Academy whom you'll remember from Disgaea 3, is a downloadable character who attacks with machines from his lab. He can also do a reversal move, and a special move that boosts his power equivalent to the number of enemies on the map.
Also available are the characters Prier and Pink. Prier can strike regular enemies twice for every regular attack she uses, and also has a special move called Holy Breaker. Pink, a deathsabre, is a fan of Axle and uses the special move Moon Deathblow. Each character will cost 300 yen ($3.73 US) apiece.
You can even download Mao's pirate ship Getter Mao (a reference to Getter Robo), which comes with its own scenario, for 200 yen ($2.49 US). Also available are the tiles for Disgaea 4's classroom map for use in the map editing feature, for 100 yen ($1.24 US). Finally, Kuro's Axe is free.
There's just one problem: The Japanese PlayStation Network is still down, so the DLC will be available once it's up again.
