What are these Waves of Madness?

Though we only saw End of Nations at Trion World's E3 booth this year, the company is still preparing the next big in-game update for their MMORPG RIFT: Planes of Telara. Update 1.3 introduces the 'Waves of Madness' world event that brings about an attack - and some new evils - on the ancient city of Hammerknell. The update will make available a 20-player raid, new items, accessories and other such goods, as well as the chance to transfer characters to certain servers for free. This world event will come with all kinds of new enemies and offer a challenge even for the best players.
Update 1.3 goes live in North America on June 22nd, and in Europe on June 23rd. For a look at Hammerknell and the new uglies you'll be facing in the Waves of Madness, watch the video below and check out our gallery:
