2009's Demon's Souls was as successful as it was brutally difficult. Fortunately, it wasn't the kind of brutal that turned players off; instead players just kept coming back for more. When editor Kimberley Wallace and I played its spiritual successor, Dark Souls, at E3, our experience was not unlike this - we died a lot, and we kept going back for more. After a handful of deaths, we were able to sit down for a Q&A with developer From Software. What did we find out about Dark Souls?
