E3 2011: The Witcher 2 Hits Xbox 360, Gets Reveal Trailer
While not much new info, we've got a new trailer. 06.08.11 - 11:25 AM CD Projekt RED was happy to show us off The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings running on the Xbox 360 this year at E3. They demoed the end of the prologue running on two different consoles to show off some of the choices available in the game. These should be familiar to PC players, but for some of the console-centric press, the actual choice so early in the game might have been staggering. CD Projekt has said that they will be changing parts of the game to better fit the consoles, although they didn't go into much detail, as they're still in a pre-alpha state with the game. While we didn't get much new detail on the game's changes for the consoles, I can say that it still looks fairly impressive running on the Xbox 360 hardware. While gamers running pairs of Radeon 6950s will look at it and scoff, it looks better than the game did on my PC running on its dinky Radeon 4650 on low settings. There's not much to be said here - the demo was impressive and confirmed that the game was up and running on the console, but we'll have to wait until later in the year for more details. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox 360 will see release before the end of this year. For now, check out the reveal trailer below, it's new stuff, even for PC fans.
