Apparently the game was too overloaded for a name like Overload.

A few days ago, Japanese retailer Softmap leaked the release date for the PlayStation Portable version of Growlanser IV... well, sort of. They gave the title an August release, but Atlus today was much more specific. Not only that, but the game also was re-named. Since 'Overload' apparently wasn't representative enough of all the new features that the remake contains - new characters, events and story paths - its full title is now Growlanser IV Over Reloaded.
For fans wondering as to why Atlus skipped both Growlanser II and III and decided to remake IV instead, series producer Shinjiro Takada promised that he would explain this soon on Over Reloaded's official site.
