Meet More of Neptune Mk-II's Characters And Enemies
A lot of them may look familiar.

Hyperdimension Neptunia's portable-themed sequel, Chou Jigen Game Neptune mk-II, has more of those 'parody characters' that were in the first game: IF-chan, Compa-chan, Gust-chan, Nippon-Ichi-chan and 5pb-chan. You can probably guess all the companies represented. Whereas 5pb-chan was only seen as DLC for the first game, she has a bigger role in the sequel. She's apparently a major star in the Leanbox area, with a big stage presence but otherwise pretty shy.

Compile Heart shared artwork of these characters and also the villains (all on the gallery linked below). The villains make up an organization called Magicon and also represent some portion of the game industry. Brave the Hard represents the kids who can't afford to buy games; the rather lovely Trick the Hard is those who have trouble plaything through hard games, and so the character likes to cheat; and Judge the Hard is the game makers who are having a hard time selling their titles. Also in the artwork is Magic the Hard, but we're not quite sure what she represents.

Apparently, they wanted us to keep up with the theme of cute trailers this week. Today Compile Heart posted this clip on the official website where you'll get to see the main cast and a bit of gameplay.

Neptune mk-II for the PlayStation 3 releases in Japan on August 18th in two editions: The regular edition, for 7329 yen ($90.92 US), or a special edition for 9429 yen ($116.97 US).
