Grand Knights History Has Curved Battlefields
And other random tidbits + screens!

Vanillaware's Grand Knights History has both online and offline components, but producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto calls the online mode an 'experiment' - but he promises this will still be enjoyable. In the PSP RPG, you fight not with or against friends, but as part as one of three kingdoms - whichever you choose. If the battlefields look curved, it's probably because Vanillaware is showing off its 2D technology and wanting to give the view of the battle a certain effect. Take a look at the gallery (below) and you'll see what they mean.

The official website detailed some special skills that we'd talked about earlier, as well as some of the enemies you'll be facing. Dragons, who once fought humans long ago, are intelligent beings who also speak the human language. They live in the Alveus Mountains. Fairies are predictably found in or near forests, and carry poison needles - so don't be fooled by their looks. Mimics pretend to look like items such as treasure chests, and will jump up and attack (or eat) you as you get close.

Finally, Hashimoto shared a very short character selection clip on the game's blog.

Grand Knights History for the PlayStation Portable is due to hit Japanese shelves on September 1st.
