So, You Want To Fight In Grand Knights History
You better make sure your knights are in formation, then!

Grand Knights History, the turn-based strategy RPG from Vanillaware and Marvelous Entertainment, allows players to customize their knights in every department from looks to weapons and equipment - and even personality. Personality will affect not only your character's lines, but also his or her stat growth. Skill, meanwhile, can be increased depending on which weapons you equip and your use of that weapon. Each weapon has ten types of skills, and 50 'support' skills - you can equip up to four skills at once, and they will also be key to the game's online component.

These skills include: Flash Code, a dagger attack which strikes four consecutive times; Gallop Beat, a lance skill that sees your unit charge at the enemy (like a horse); Judgement, a thunder spell which strikes and has a chance at shocking multiple enemies; Skullfang, which releases a wave and can strike enemies at a distance when you swing your broadsword; and Blaze Rain, where two archers rain arrows down upon their foes.

In an actual battle, you'll also have to pay attention to the formation of your group of knights. You'll bring in four units and place them on a 4x4 grid. There are 20 such formations to choose from, including Windmill (no, this doesn't involve whipping your hair - it's just a diamond formation) and Bull Attack (with everyone in a straight line). The formation you choose may change the battle slightly, by either changing the range in which you can be attacked, or even give you a booster (such as an HP boost every turn).

Grand Knights History for the PSP is due out in Japan on September 1st.
